When we started Outside, the name was simple and direct. It worked.
But over time, the work evolved.
What began as design expanded into construction and long-term garden care. The name no longer reflected how we actually operate. We weren’t a design firm that occasionally builds —we had become three distinct disciplines working together as one team.
So we’ve become The Outside Group.
This is a rebrand—but not a reinvention. It’s a clearer expression of how we’re structured and how we work.
We operate across three areas: landscape architecture, construction, and garden care. Each brings a different layer of expertise, but all are aligned from the start.
When we design a garden, construction is already being considered. When we build it, the original intent is protected. And when we care for it over time, we’re continuing the work with a full understanding of how it was designed and built.
That level of integration is difficult to express with a single name.
The Outside Group reflects what we are: separate specialties, aligned under one structure.
For our clients, nothing changes day to day. You still work with one team. Communication stays clear. Accountability stays intact.
But the name now reflects the reality of the work— a group built to think about your garden as a whole, from the first conversation through the years that follow.
