One of our favorite gardens. The clients came to us for a new pool, and the project grew into a complete redesign of the back garden and a new decomposed granite driveway. We used it as a chance to do something we had never done before: a round pool with brick coping. The brick carries into the surrounding paving, a tiled interior and a center fountain spout add color, movement, and sound, and the pool reads as part of the garden rather than set apart from it. Around it, layered planting of mostly native plants softens the edges and ties the whole back garden together.
